Gareth Webb, my previous manager and close friend from Comma Oil, had taken up the management of an in-house studio at BG Electrical.
Gareth had a vacancy for a designer and wondered if I would consider joining. (To be honest, I kind of badgered him to consider me for the role!) It would mean a step out of a management position but the money was good, the hours were better and the job itself was back to the product graphic design roots that I had missed so much from Comma Oil.
On February 28th 2005 I began work for BG in Ashford. The mainstay of my design work was product packaging and point of sale for the many varied electrical products, gadgets and cables BG produced.
